Need Help !!!!
I recently drove my 96 Disco through deep water (3-4ft) pulling people out of flooded streets... After about 30-45 min of driving and idling in water she died, fule pump relay shut down and no fire to plugs...engine still turns over though???? Any input on this would be a big help!!!
May have got water on the ECU, in black box between fuel pump relay and firewall, passenger side. Open it up, clean up, seal it back.
Also fuses, see attached page. My fuel pump draws like 5 amps. When key switched on ECU lets it run a few seconds, but if engine is not running it stops. Pressure test point (32-34 PSI) on passenger side fuel rail (looks like tire valve).
Might also be CKP (crank position sensor), it will kill spark, and ECU thinks engine is not turning.

Let us know what you find, my money is on the wet ECU. I have had my engine pretty deep in water and never had an issue with the crank sensor, they seem to be pretty water tight.
