Question need help brown sludge in radiator

i have a land rover disco 2 2000 and has been driving fine i opened my radiator cap to see brown sludge so i flushed it and ran water through the system a few times for about a hour then put radiator flush in it and let it run for about a week with the radiator flush then flushed it again which seemed to get most of it out checking again today and see brown sludge back in the radiator cap it doesnt overheat stay in the middle never gets hot and runs fine just cant get rid of it does seem as though it uses oil alot which it may be that but wouldnt know what causes that

The coolant was probably never changed before and the radiator and/or heater core still have gunk in them.

And, if it's "using oil"; does the engine have any oil leaks?
It's a D2, it kinda has to leak at some point, lol.

Oil usually causes a milky appearance.

If you want to REALLY clean the cooling system, you need to do a simple citric acid soak. Cheap, works well, doctor recommended.

could be that someone mixed dexcool (orange coolant) with the traditional green without doing a thorough flush in between.
