I have a 2002 RR. Bought it used and it is clear someone in its past was unkind to it. It has a lot of little electrical grimlins I'm trying to weed out. The most annoying is one where the GPS screen goes blank then resets. When it does that, the speakers let out three to four loud deep base tones and then one loud high pitch screech. Any ideas on where to start with this problem?

Sorry to post twice on the same thing but this is driving me nuts. I have tried turning off the GPS monitor and that does nothing to fix the problem. I am pretty handy on the mechanical side of the house but electronics isn't my strong suit. Any ideas where to start on this type of problem.
