I already read the sticky saying to use rotella. But I live in the California desert and the average summer temp is around 115. Will that rotella keep the engine properly lubed or is it too thin to deal with my summer temps? Should I blend it with a thicker oil or just use a different oil al together?

 

I'm in so cal, but by the beach. I do drive to LA regularly in stop and go traffic, no issues with Rotella.
