Default Oil and Temp Gauges

Hey guys, looking to put in some new gauges on my 00 Disco. I have new autometer electric full sweep gauges from one of my other car builds and needed to see where the best place would be to put in the oil sending unit and temp sensor. I know there is a plate that goes on where the filter does for the oil sensor but i was kinda hoping to avoid that. I like placing the sensors either in a direct oil line or on the engine block itself. Also, are there any good pillar pods or dash pods i can use to mount them?

I went with the sandwich plate from glowshift. Figured by the time i rounded up all the tidbits (dont have any sort of that stuff laying around) i would end up spending the same amount.

Probably the best installation for gauges:

Mine i put on-top of the steering wheel. Post #421

Glowshift plate ~ $37 - this one has 4 ports, 2 for an oil cooler if you wish and 2 for oil temp and pressure...you can get one with just 2 ports also, think the price is about the same.

The drop down panel below the steer wheel is ideal if you can get the gauges angled enough to see them while driving...read my #421 post....
