Default P0733 & P0734 trans codes

2001 Disco 2. The truck isn't shifting into 4th gear. I pulled these codes out of it(some might be old codes) P0733 3rd gear ratio, P0734 4th gear ratio, P0171 bank 1 lean, P0174 Bank 2 lean, P0300 misfire and P0305 miss on cyl. 5. The truck is running fine and the only thing I notice is the truckisn't up shifting to4th gear. I'm really only worried about the trans codes. I'm a GM mechanic and I'm totally lost with Land Rover. I didn't find any TSB on the Trans codes but my question is- I didn't know if the 733 and 734 codes coming on together would come from only one root problem. Anyoneran into this before??Any thoughts???

MAFS can cause these faults.

Start with a new MAF, that will clear your codes and the tranny should be fine again.
By the way, are you running a K&N air filter, if so get rid of it, it is the biggest cause for MAF failures.

Is there any way to test the MAF sensor or should I just replace it? On the GM cars, I would drive the car with the MAF unplugged and If the problem went away I replaced it. I guess I'll give that a shot. Thanks for your HELP!!!!Kyle

You aren't driving a GM, better get used to how our Rovers play with us.
Call Tony, at 650-365-4145, for one of the better MAF prices, install it and clear your codes.
