1998 D1. Went to inspection station and had this code show up. Original gas cap was cracked in two spots so I went and bought a new one. Went back with new cap, cap passed pressure test but code still showed up. No check engine light. Was the attendant doing something wrong?

Thoughts? I did a search and found only a few threads here. Thanks
