Power seat motor '04 Disco II
Our old reliable now showing it's age. The driver's seat blew it's 40A fuse, and no sooner did I replace it and try to move the seat then it blew again.
Now the back is tilted slightly less than 90 degrees and won't go back, but the under seat still moves backward, forward, and tilts so I can get the car into "somewhat" of a driveable, albeit slightly uncomfortable, position.
Two questions:
1) Is there an easy way to go manual with the seat (use a ratchet to tilt the back backward?)
2) Options to replace? Does the entire seat need to be replaced or can just the motor (presuming that's the problem) be fixed?
Thanks in advance.

you can replace the motors separately under the seat.
but they are cable driven, which means if you chuck the correct cable into your cordless drill you should be able to put the seat where you want it.

I have people try and buy seat motors off of me, I do everything possible to talk them out of the purchase.
In my experience they rarely fail. In most cases the motors are used a few times a week and for seconds at a time.
I would inspect the wiring and look for issues there. Plus the motors are not easy to change.
