Default Question about Disco when vehicle turned off

Question for anyone who has experienced the similar situation. I drove my disco 2 home the other night. Normal drive, not speeding driving crazy or hitting any big bumps. I got home, parked the car and turned off the ignition. I noticed a sound.... rather loud, whirling, air type sound. I couldn't quite identify where the noise was coming from exactly but it sounded louder towards the front left of the engine area. I tried to get a recording but, as luck has it, as soon as I pulled out my phone the noise stopped. There was a sound of something catching when the noise stopped. Overall the noise lasted between 30 seconds and a minute.

I went to leave for work this morning and my vehicle will not turn over. I have all electronics, radio etc I put a battery charger on, (brand new battery btw), still no luck. Checking the starter tomorrow.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Do you have air suspension Rear? It kind of sounds like compressor running / air leak / battery drain, could be a culprit

No air suspension. Talking to a mechanic friend he mentioned it might be my starter spinning... not sure why it would do that when the ignition is off...

if your starter spins , your engine will turn over .....so you need to drive , stop switch of and pop the hood , and run the heck out and check quickly.... after all you are a junior member.... so you should be fit enough to do this .....
