radiator hose blew off
I have a 2003 Range Rover and today it started steaming out of the hood, looked and the radiator hose had blown off and there was a plastic ring in the hose, does anyone know what would make this hose blow off? Also the back windshield wiper acts like it wants to work and it doesn't any ideas? And last of all when I start it up it starts like it is running a lot of rpm's and smells llike it is running real rich, or when I start it, it makes a tapping sound like there is no oil to lube it, it runs fine when I drive it, any help in any of this?

On the hose it is probably just old and needs to be replaced. Over time the hoses will expand and become more pliable, then when the truck is warm and under pressure it will blow. Mine did this yesterday too so it happens.
I am not sure about the wiper since I cannot see what it is really doing. so hopefully someone else will chime in on this.
The tapping is probably just what the engines do, they tend to tap and once you get oil up there it is fine.

Yep, just happened to me the other day too (hose popped off). I also had the plastic ring in it, which was actually the tip of the thermostat housing which had apparantly broken off inside. While you're replacing/reconnecting the hose, you might as well replace the thermostat too, (the hose may pop off again if it doesn't have enough area for the clamp to grasp).
Don't know about your other issues though.
