Have owned my Disco II for 3 year now -truck is freakin' awesome! But right now she'sjust freakin'. Just replaced front drive shaft and transmission (fds flew into tranny making a nice little hole)... clockspring replaced twice.. new brakes... etc. etc. etc

Today's immediateissue: Can anyonetell me what a red "H" with an 'x' in middle means?Seems to be [obviously] stating something is hot and red is never a good sign...

A mechanichelped me get home yesterday by capping off leaking hoses to my throttle body (think it needs a gasket on the defroster/ in search of today online) .. itran fine until this light came on this morning. Is this computer reactionto the 'bypass'? or does it sound like I have a newer issue?

Sorry if this is a dup question, I read 70+ emails trying to find answer... thanks for help/

If you are talking about the red light in the lower left corner of your instrument cluster, that is your Dif lock lite showing you have engaged your CDL which will not cause your engine to run bad. have you ever used your CDL?
Might want to call me this morning so we can see what is going on.

Thank you for walking me thru this! After "hugging" my transmission to get to the CDL, I turned it counterclockwise & it's running like it's old self.. steering is back to normal & light is off the dash (itdid flash off/on a few more times, but off now). HUGE help - you're awesome!

Off to my next 'issue' ...going to new subject line in case people are taking notes.
