Default remote doesn't work

I disconnected the battery replaced the left Blend motor and now the remote won't work and doesn't set the alarm. I have tried the usual resync things but it still doesn't work. Any help would be great.[:@]

I will have to try and find my other remote and try that one.
I find it would be weird if it was the door latch as the remote stopped working right after I disconnected the battery.

The car isn't under warranty and the nearest dealership is 1 hour away. I would like to try to fix it myself but don't know what else to try.

The remotes lose sync when the battery is disconnected. The only way to re-sync them is with the drivers door lock procedure. If you find the other remote and it will also not work, you have a bad latch.

Hope that makes sense, let us know.

I finally fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used the EKA method of disarming the alarm and then was able to resinc my remotes. Yeah!!

Thanks for the input.

I found the method on www.rangerover.net

Hi NC

Can you tell me the last bit of the eka method, on my card it says see reverse, but it is a copy and therefore blank.

Regards

Paul
