RR P38 96 4.6 HSE Select Neutral strange burning smell
Um, HELP
The dash board is telling me to select neutral, strange burnt smell like circuit board.
No smoke no flames
Still drives but no low range stuff
Any ideas or do i need to remortgage?

You need to quit driving it ASAP. The more you drive it, the more you smell it the more it will cost you.
Find a good shop and have them check it out.

I have stopped driving it, I just spoke to Landrover and he had me sniff around the interior. The smell seems to be coming from the gear selection area. Does anyone have ideas what could be up?

the transfercase module is a great big heat sink looking thing, aluminum case with cooling fins, located beneath drivers seat, when they go bad they stink and select n is displated!
