I just bought a 98 disco, great condition always wanted one. But the seat is stuck in the highest position, the other guy was a lot shorter than me, this is very annoying. All other controls work except up down. CanI bypass the switch and cross a wire or something? Manual control exist under there somewhere? Any suggestions besides new switch at this time would be great, would love to drive it this weekend without my head shoved in the ceiling.

 

Clean or replace the switch and you should be fine. The switch contacts are known to get dirty and fail.
