is there a serial number on the spare wheel? reason being, mine was stolen, and i think i have found it for sale online, but obviously would need to have a serial number to prove it

no serial number but there is a part number. Honestly set the bastard up and buy it back from him. When you do the sale call the cops and tell them you are buying stolen property. They will come and arrest the guy if they know him.

 

A friend of mine had his bike stolen. He found it on craigslist and called the guy to see it. He asked if he could "test" it and just rode it home.
