Sounds of water under glove box....
Hey everyone, I just got my 2001 LR disco 2 last week. I just needed a good work hauler and now I am finding I have invested more time at the garage than enjoying it on the road. When I hit the gas it sounds like water or something gurgling through the glove box area. I hear it has somthing to do with coolant but it this true? Should I be worried about driving it? Also, when the ck engine light came on, it started to act like it was going to stall out...one time it did. The garage tells me to drive it some more until it comes on again because it gave him 8 codes.
Thanks for any help.

"sounds like water or something gurgling through the glove box area" you have a coolant leak, at least it is low enough that you can hear air rushing through the heater core insteed of coolant.
You should stop driving the truck until you find your coolant leak. If you continue to drive it and it over heats it could quit possibly cost you an engine.
Also remember if there is no coolant them the gauge can not tell you it is overheating, the gauge must be submerssed in coolant to get a reading.

I took my other car to work today and left rover home. Tonight, I checked the coolant and it was low. I bought some and filled it back up. Used about a 1/4 jug and mixed that with water. I started it up and went down the road and back (less than 1 minute drive) and still when I pushed the gas it was a rush of watery noise. The carpets are all dry...never have been wet. I parked it and put some cardboard underneath to see if I can see anything in the morning.
