Still overheating disco2

Sounds like the same trouble I am having. Coolant was a little low so I added some and then about 10 minutes later it was coming out at high pressure from the overflow hose. I know I didn't bleed it right so I parked it and decided to look here for help.
Any help would be great.

Just joined the forum, having almost same problem on a 2000 P38 4.0. Replaced head gaskets, radiator a couple of thermostats flushed heater core, pressure holds steady. Heat is low at idle, and I notice bubbles going into coolant reservoir one every 10 seconds or so even after driving for a bit. Temp holds fine at idle and can test drive a few miles with no problems, then all of a sudden it overheats. Its driving me crazy.. would like to talk to Disco Mike if possible. Thanks !!

I am about to drain the coolant on my 2004 MY Discovery due to unexpected overheating issues last week. I have a new Thermostat from the Bellevue dealer, but the RAVE .PDF I think is not for the MY 2004 engine? I could be wrong about that.. But my question is where is the coolant drain plug? I think it's right next to the oil filter - lower left as you look at engine. (Both of the plastic pan covers obscure most of the engine & will not come out unless I remove the steering damper.)

Re-checking the RAVE .PDF again, I can see 1 screw bolts on LH engine block directly 18" below Oil filler pipe. This is a hexagonal bolt orientated upwards. I would think that to release coolant fluid they would point down, & the Workshop .PDF shows square headed bolts.
The major visual blocker is the plastic under pan panel that only has the circular access panel for changing the oil filter.
I can not remove this plastic panel due to the steering damper being in the way.
(Car is in my garage at home and I can not get enough leverage on the bolts to remove the damper by just lying on the ground underneath, the car needs to be raised which I currently do not have the equipment for.)
As you can see I am new to this forum so any direction would be appreciated.
