I just purchased a 2002 Discovery II and opened the sunroof but now can't close it. It's not open all the way, but I can't move it either way. The motor whines a bit, but it won't budge even with extra assistance.

Please help before the rain comes!

 

You can use an allen key to turn the motor to close it.

this might not be the case here but GM products need a fully charged battery to close the sunroof completely. seems that a weak battery causes the sunroof to bind and shut down because electrical resistance safety triggers.
