Was driving on the interstate yesterday and car stopped accelerating at about 45 mph. Got off the interstate and car would accelerate to about 35 or 40 mph. Felt like transmission just wouldn't engage beyond that. I don't know anything about cars except that repairs for this one are expensive. 2007 LR3 with about 115k miles. No lights or messages ever appeared. Anybody experience something like this?

 

Take it to a dealer or ZF specialist, these boxes run to about 6k for a rebuild.
