have a 95 discovery and it shifts fine exept from 3rd to drive. it doesnt shift until it hits 52-54 mph! is this normal and does anyone have a fix? thanck you in advance. art

Do me a favor, next few times you drive the truck, check and see what the RPM's are when it shifts, based on normal excelleration and get back to me.

I have a 97 and it hits the final gear around that speed. Feels normal to me, but I know I need to change the fluid and filter. Do what Mike said and check the RPM when it shifts. I think mine is around 2700 when it shifts under normal accel...I'll check this afternoon for ya.

thats another subject.im fixing all the gremlins one by one and the tach is not working. couple other electrical problems also. nothing major- is the horn relay in the fuse panel under the steering wheel? i just got it on the road. bought it off e-bay in tough shape. ordered filter and pan. tranny seems to whine a little. will try some tranny additive first. art
