Turn signal switch or bad wires?

I have a 2000 Land Rover Discovery. My right turn signal works but my left flicks once and turns itself off. I bought a new turn signal switch and i'm getting the same result. What do i do?

check the wiring from the bcu. get a wiring diagram and start tracing wires. It could be a simple relay or something else.

does the hazards work?
