Default ultra guage bracket choice

What bracket do you guys like using with your ultra guage? velcro, winshield, or vertical surface?

Getting ready to order mine and having trouble deciding on the bracket to use.

I prefer the Windshield mount. I have tucked in the left lower corner of the windshield. Sits just above the front fog light switch.

I like having it velcro'd to the coin tray. It looks clean and you can easily tuck the wiring under the center console/black plastic tray under the driver side steering wheel.

I'll have to find a new spot though once I get a 99 cruse control pack.

I got mine with the windshield mount, but do not use it. It's not very well designed in my opinion, has a strange angle to it. Wish there were some better alternatives out there. I think the vertical mount is the most usable one.

I think that one looks good too however, I hate putting sticky stuff on my dash which made me hesitant. Which I should not mind since mine is not a pristine rover.

Windshield mount. I use it as my speedo and tach and needed to keep it within easy line of sight. It's tucked into the lower left part of the steering wheel, and secures itself to the windshield quite nicely (I've never had it come off). The flexible arm is also nice and stiff, and has yet to wander from the position I set it (complex bend). Wrapped the cable to the arm with electrical tape and tucked the rest.

Before that, I had a small metal L-bracket that I mounted right on the dash console between the speedo and tach; superglued the bracket to it. Ended up moving it to the windshield mount when I replaced the console surround because there were times where incident light would make it hard to read.

If you're using it for occasional engine monitoring, there are a lot of other flat-mount places to hide it cleanly.

Windshield mount, its easy to unhook it from the mount (while leaving the mount on the windshield) to stick out of the direct sunlight in the summer which is says to do in the owners manual.
The windshield mount is actually a cell phone mount, you can buy a new one at Wal-Mart for $6 for the short arm or a long arm one for $9.

I did the sticky tape mount (vertical mount) and put it over the sticker that shows you how to shift the transfer case from high to low. Wires were easy to tuck away, not visible from outside unless really looking (I do have tinted windows though), and easy to view while driving, and I just leave it there at all times. To add it still leaves plenty off room to shift into low if needed. If you want pics I can get them as well

You do know you can bend and manipulate the mount to an angle of your choosing, right. Took me a couple days to learn that. Changed my opinion of the mount.
