Does the 3 amigos constantly beep when the front drive shaft is out or do I have another issue?

 

You have another issue, they have no idea the front propshaft is missing.

 

o.k. so the link has a picture of my lights flashing. The dings ring with the blinking of the two gears with the x on them in the left top corner. Took it for a test drive around the block after bleeding system and the dinging never stopped.

 

By the way this is with the engine not running before anyone freaks about my oil light.

 

I thought Mike said that the three amigos would be on while propshaft was out and would go away when you plug it back in

However, my primary question is what the two gears with the x is referring too.

 

I believe that is a transmission fault.

 

woohoo, simple fix the transmission had been knocked a little out, back to normal with check engine only light with an ultra guage on its way to help with that

 

99-02 will set the amigos on if you turn the key on with the diff locked. If you lock it after you start the car everything is fine.
