Default AN UNPLUGGED Connector

Hello All

So the wife asked me to remove a price of plastic that kept falling on her feet while driving. In removing the price of plastic this cable came UNPLUGGED under the LH steering wheel

Is it important? Mine is a 1999 Disco 2.

Thanis I advance

Looks aftermarket. Follow it back. Are there some aftermarket lights on the vehicle?
