Default Vibration in dash

Hi I have recently bought a 97 Range Rover and am having a problem with a noise in the right hand side of the dash that sounds similar to static from a radio. This only happens when driving above 55mph. It doesn't seem to be coming from either the fan motor or radio. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this noise or steps that I should take to remedy this problem?

Default RE: Vibration in dash

I have the same thing in my 1996 4.6 HSE, It's a flap inside the dash ventilation system, deeeeeeeep in the heater cotrol & matrix box, too much trouble to fix.Mine only does it at around 75mph when it's cold out below35F, summer I never hear it at all, had the car for 7 years now and it has always done it in winter, thoughwhen I go to the dealer/stealers it does not do it.

Thanks Roveron I guess if it gets bad enough I will have to do something as it is usually cold here for 6 months of the year. It was still coldtoday(approx -5F)
but the noise wasn't a problem on the way into the city this morning or coming home tonight.
