The shovel and ladder mount are made from Starboard and some 8mm bolts and rings. The actual shovel mount is actually a mount for a boat hook I get from West Marine and a Saris bone strap. Works super well, even on my seaplane at 200mph. The ladder stabilizer is from Front Runner and was stupidly cheap on sale. If you grind about a mm or two off the head of an 8mm bolt on a belt sander they work in the tracks. Or you can spend money on long T bolts from Amazon, cut to size. I think I may have almost $25 in both mounts.

I do try to keep the vehicle from looking too much like a Mexican bus enroute to market day in Hemasillo. Although I am finishing up my Overlanding Chicken Cage and Overlanding Pig Crate. Doing it just to taunt my buds back in South Africa.

What brand of shovel mounts are those?

Default Zip ties

Zip ties. I have had cargo boxes, shovels, recovery boards, Christmas trees, coconuts, lumber, camping gear, hunting gear, luggage, etc off and on my LR3 and LR4 roof racks over the years, never lost anything. They are cheap on Amazon and come in huge, heavy duty sizes. So cheap you have no issue cutting one to get something down or rearrange things.

As soon as I decide on a rack for the D130, I’ll do the same.
