Thank you for the quick response. Checked the vehicle today at the shop. Unlocked the door with fob, wiggled the steering to lock and it unlocked when I inserted the key. I will check out all the fuses tomorrow. The mechanic said the code reader shows anti-theft related problem. I want to exhaust all my options before to take it to the dealer.

 

Yes, I was also told the same by my mechanic and had resigned myself to having to tow the car to the dealer. It was only because there was a delay in getting that tow that I decided to check all fuses, regardless of whether they seemed related. Of course it could be many other things but checking the fuses with a meter only takes a few minutes. Please do post and let us know what it turns out to be.
