Another lr2 starter problem

Another lr2 starter problem
I have a 2010 lr2 - generally reliable except for the known issue battery drain which I solved 8 months ago with a remote control battery immobilizer which isolates the battery and has since worked perfectly.
This morning I got I to the car, pushed the starter button and it turned as it normally does but didn't start. And it it turned over with enough oomph and duration to start the car. Then on subsequent tries, nothing. The dashboard lights turn on, the radio etc gets power, but pushing the button produces no sound from the starter or from anything else.
There have been occasions in the past where the starter has initially been a bit reluctant to initially get up to speed and I have been expecting the likelihood of a new starter in my future, but this feels different.
I am preparing to get it towed to my local garage but thought there might be some wisdom to be had here. Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Take a look at this link for a possible cause https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic33546.html
For my 2008 LR2 the starter motor died at ~10 years and it just wouldn't start, no click, nothing, new starter and all is well
Good Luck

Thanks for that advice Paul.
I ended up taking it to my mechanic. Investigation revealed the presence of the crash mode - which was easily cleared. After that it started as per usual.
So now: what caused the crash indicator to be triggered? And will this reoccur? Of course my mechanic didn't have a clue as to what caused it...
