> And it is always possible that a mouse has attacked your LR2.

You really have a thing with mice and your LR2, eh?

If you need a purge valve I have a new one I don't need. $25 and free shipping.

It is attached to the throttle body mechanism. Easy DIY job.

Whatever. If you can build a monster truck but can't change a $25 plastic valve, you have other issues.

Even though you don't see obvious signs of corrosion I recommend that you do the following

1. Replace all of the fuses in the engine compartment (fuses are extremely cheap and they will build up and oxide layer where the contact touches the blade)

2. Replace the relays in the engine compartment (I replaced mine because my battery died and one of the relays started switching in an uncontrolled manner due to the voltage dropping too low, it switched off/on/off/on very quickly for about 30 minutes)

3. When you start your LR2 always use the alternate power modes to help determine what isn't working
- Dock the key count to five
- Take your foot off the brake
- With your foot still off the brake press the start button for 2 seconds (the radio etc. should be powered up)
- Press the brake and press the start button again (the engine should turn on)
- Report back if you see the Christmas tree and at what step and if the engine is difficult to start as described above

The relays I replaced
Wells 20999 Accessory Power Relay
Wells 20996 Accessory Power Relay

I have these others relays on a wish list (I can't remember if I replaced any of these, but I think they are for the LR2)
Wells 20997 Accessory Power Relay

Wells 20995 Accessory Power Relay
Wells 20998 Accessory Power Relaygood luck

Paul

Ill give it a go , .
only because fuel for the monster truck is so costly right now. I change change the purge valve Im learning on these LR2s I just cant imagine the thing getting all the way to limp mode because of it. I know the fuses can get a corrosion layer and the relays and I just found out this thing was in San Diego for a year maybe it got a coastal infection. Ill do the aforementioned suggestions and report back. Thanks for taking the time to help yall, I appreciate it.
