Engine Stalls After Ignition
Bought our 2008 Landrover LR2 while stationed here in Germany. LOVE IT! But in the past few months, when the weather is warmer, Ive noticed I will press the break and push the engine ignition button only to have it start and gently stall out. Anyone else with this issue? If I give it a few minutes and ensure everything is off, it will usually start up soon after but the most recent experience it took several tries before it took. I dont know what to do and whats going on! Help appreciated. Thanx

It also could be a number of problems-leaking fuel injector(s), bad fuel pump?
My independent mechanic says they now have aftermarket software from Snap-on to diagnose euro vehicles including LR, so if yours out of the warranty, you may try an independent shop who has the updated computer.
Good luck
if you fix it, post here for the rest of us.
the software update is intendid for the engine control module and instrument pack. Very common issue. Based of temperature thats why its hard to start in warm climates it uses outside temp sensor.
Where is the outdoor temp sensor? If stuck with this out in the boonies, away from a shop, could you pour cold liquid or spray something on the sensor to "fool" the computer, or verify that this was the problem?
you know what ive never thought about that one before pouring cold liquid on it haha. honestly i wouldnt know if that would help. but i do know if you were to disconnect it it goes into open loop wich would be a cold readiing. But best idea would be to get the module reflashed if still in warranty they will do it. if not it shouldnt be more than an hour. we got paid .2hr to do the update
