Default Fuel rail sensor problem

Does anyone know the OEM manufacturer and part number for the fuel rail pressure sensor for a 2008 3.2? Regarding the manufacturer, I've read online that Bosch is OEM, but the one I removed from the car said FOMOCO (Ford) on it. Since the engine is a Ford engine I was thinking that the FOMOCO sensor was OEM.
I'm replacing it because I had a high fuel pressure code and originally replaced it with a cheap Chinese brand but it was so defective that it sprayed gas all over the engine. So I bought another one of a different brand but the fuel pressure is still reading too high and it didn't pass inspection. So now, before looking at the fuel pump/filter or loose wiring, I'm going to install the correct OEM sensor to see if that helps.

FOMOCO should be OEM on this car. That might also be a re-branded Bosch but I personally would be good with either brand for that application.

For this car, OEM generally works best. Anything with Chineesium content will be problematic.

The 3.2 was made at a FORD plant in the UK and it was used by LAND ROVER and VOLVO

I have one of each

To answer your question I use Bosch 0261230238

I actually bought it for the LR2 but the S80 needed it first

And I got rid of the annoying TORX and used a normal 6 point bolt in it place

S80 Pictures are here https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/fo...7687&start=110

The sensor is on the list it is letter B

Typical repairs for high mileage 3.2
A) Thermostat – replaced mine at 10 years (also replaced two coolant hoses)
B) Fuel pressure sending unit
C) PCV valve – replaced mine at 113,000 miles
D) Engine mounts
E) AC Compressor or clutch pack - (Installed a new compressor and clutch on the S80)
F) Ignition coils (Some evidence that a failed Thermostat leads to overheating and premature Coil failure)
G) Radiator Fan
H) Wheel Bearings
I) Anti-Drain back valve in oil canister housing failure
J) Radiator
K) Front Struts
L) Rear Shocks

The full list is here

Good luck

Thanks everyone for the replies. P Gill, thats a nice write up in the link, very informative. I did notice though that the part number on the Bosch sensor was different on the old and new sensors. I'm not sue what the differences are, but maybe it doesnt matter...

I have replaced everything on Paul's list except the AC stuff. Some of it on condition, some preventative. I'd recommend it all, preemptively if you need to rely on the car for road trips.
