Default Help

My 2008 LR2 won’t go. It starts and when I put it into gear or give it gas it does nothing. Last week end was at the car wash and left doors open and radio on while it was turned off with key in ignition. When I went to leave call these lights came in transmission fault and hdc . And some other ones. I figured it was Bc battery was a little drained. It made it hone no problem. Howev er lights did cons on a couple more times but no driving problems. Then I pulled up my center or floor console to check my cigg lighter and accessory plugs. When I was dobe I was trying to put EMERGENCY brake down and it was really hard but I got it. However it was almost like it popped when I fell. Idk. That’s when I tried to leave and had the prob with no acceleration

Jack up the back of your LR2 and confirm that the emergency brake is actually released by spinning the tires.

What he said. Looks like the parking brake is stuck in one or both of the rear tires brake drums

so I had the fuse box replaced inside by passenger seat. This was after it sat at the shop for a month. Because of the COVID-19 it took awhile for parts. Anyway he called right before he repacked it and said it was working did I still wZnt the part replaced. I said yes because I didn’t want the 1200 dollar problem again. So it’s been over a month. No problems. Well I took it to the car wash today and same prob. It starts but no throttle.

Looks like you have water intrusion into your ps fuse box? I would avoid that style car wash in the future until you identify where it's leaking down from. I'd call the mechanic and let him know. Pretty sure he will find the spot that is letting the water in and into the fuse panel. Good luck. In the meanwhile a hair dryer might get the moisture out pronto but use you judgement as to how you go about this. Bottom line, the panel has to dry out.
