hi, i have a 2011 LR2. i recently got into a minor accident on the front end driver side. Broken Headlight and bumper. After this happened, the brake lights went out for some reason. So, i had all fuses tested and they all work. Now, test the brake lamp switch and that is getting no power. Had the car scanned and codes coming up:

c0023-13 stop lamp control- circuit and b1115-13 high mounted stop lamp control- open circuit.

i noticed that the front turn signal bulb was broken and wire was crimped a little bit.

i changed the bulb and that works.

please help with the rear taillight situation. Any idea what it could be?

Any wiring diagrams available here?

For both codes the repair manual states "Refer to electrical circuit diagrams and check for open circuit." Looks like you have to deep dive to find where the wires got cut or disconnected.

I would also check the grounds...........if you search this site you should find a "grounds" diagram as well as a download link for the electrical & service manual....you will have to find one for your year class.

 

Google for the Freelander 2 service and maintenance manual. It's downloadable from the Internet and the wiring diagram is the same as the LR2.
