Why in the wide, wide world of sports would you do that if they are only $15 or so for a set on eBay from Victor Reinz? No, bad idea.

I already purchased the gaskets , but I saw some people applying sealant on the new gaskets as well , just to make sure the surface is sealed , so I am asking whether should I apply the sealant on my new gaskets or not .

Thank you

That's a different question. The service manual does not recommend doing that.

yeah the manual did not mention any sealant , however some people recommend to use the sealant on the older cars since the surface condition will not be so great .
but I think I am going to follow the manual and just use the new gaskets without any sealant , I will follow the torque specs as well .
Thank you very much for your continuous support really appreciated

The intake is the one place where I would never put any sealant, because if any of it comes loose it's going to play havoc and create a lot of grief for me to clean it out. If the surface condition is a bit rough, put a rag into each of the openings to protect the intake and use something like a steel wool pad to smooth it out, or very light sandpaper. Carefully wipe everything down before reassembling. Most of the time, however, this is not necessary. If it is noticeably rough then you probably have significant corrosion inside as well and need a new manifold. You can find them used at car-parts.com in any one of the thousands of chop shops in the US.

Yeah that is exactly why I did not want to apply sealant , for this car you might need to remove the manifold many times for access , it will be a pain in the neck to clean it every time , so I won't use it .
thank you again man 👍
