It looks like the IAT is combined with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. It's on the duct that is part of the air filter box They are available on Fleabay at reasonable prices because they are interchangeable between a whole bunch of US, Asia and European vehicles.
This is interesting. My code reader does not allow me to reset anything. Probably can only reset on the machine itself. It's and old one. But the diagnosis your giving makes a lot of sense. But there is one problem that the description you sent does not reference and that is misfires I am getting. Will this eliminate the misfires. I will locate the sensor and go through the steps or I will let my mechanic tackle it.
If you're not ready to make the investment in a high quality scanner like flybd5 has, you can buy an app for your cell phone that has a lot of basic functionality including clearing codes. I tried a couple apps and my favorite is OBD Fusion. It's only $5 and can be downloaded and installed on your phone just like any other app. You'll also need an OBD2 dongle to connect to your vehicle's port. I use this one (link shown below) with good results. It costs ~$12 and can be used with most other apps for OBD2. This works with Android phones, you'll need to do some additional product research if you have an iPhone.
O.K. I know where that is. I had it off several times when I was initially cleaning the MAF sensor. I can get these sensors locally for under a $100 CDN.
