Default LR2 td4 auto

Hi i need advice. Twice today after starting my car and putting it into drive, the car dont have power. It doesn't rev up. I set it back in park and into drive again and it would be fine again. The first time the battery light came on but not the second time.
Any idea to what can be wrong.

Go to the nearest auto store and have the battery and alternator tested.

...except the battery light doesn't care what fuel you're running.

The power loss could be something else engine related.

Also could be poor ignition performance if the alternator is dead and the battery is flat. But the battery light should be on for sure if the alternator has allowed the battery to drain down.

Possibly, but it's best to align to Ockham's Razor and pursue the logical before the exotic.
