Default M AND S blinking

Hello, M, S and D are blinking on my LR2 2003 Dashboard, i am not able to drive my LR2 except when the Shift gear is on Rear or gear 1 position. D, 3rd and 2nd gear are not working. i asked multiple Garage owners, they are telling me that i need to change the entire Gear box. while surfing the internet on this matter, none mentioned to change the gearbox, instead, people who face this issue are changing the xyz switch or checking their LR2 battery. any helps concerning my problem?

Is your car a 2003 or 2008 year?

This forum is for LR2, which is 2008 and later. Before 2008 it would be a Freelander I believe.

Wrong forum. No such thing as a 2003 LR2, and I could only find a reference to the Land Rover Discovery for these warning indicators. That said, limp mode can be caused by other things, like an alternator failure and low voltage to the ECU. Take it to a land rover specialist, not some random mechanic.
