Default P0461 & P2066 Codes

Codes seem to indicate an issue with the fuel sending unit attached to the fuel pump. Can this be accessed from within the cab to pull out the pump without pulling the entire tank (which is a serious evolution per my research)?
P0461 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
P2066 Fuel Level Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

Also coming up with these is P0299 Turbocharger/Supercharger A Underboost Condition

Any advice on my options for checking/repair?

P2066 is related to P0461 in that it points you to which fuel sending unit may have failed (there are two of them in the tank).

Unfortunately, none of the fuel electrics and sending units are accessible from the cab. I don't have the service manual for your model year LR2, but on the 2008-2012 models you need to raise the vehicle, drop the tank and use a special tool to remove the fuel pump filter module docking ring (a new o-ring will be needed for reinstallation) and take out the filter. And that's just to get access to the senders. Not an easy job. If it were me I'd definitely give it to my trusted mechanic.

  • Faulty turbo or supercharger
  • Low oil pressure in the engine
  • Fault in the EGR system
  • Air or intake leak or restriction
  • Faulty boost pressure sensor
If it is the turbocharger, it is expensive to replace. Again, if it were me, I'd leave it with my experienced mechanic to troubleshoot, but I don't know your skill level so your mileage may vary.
