Yeah, those winter cellphones are amazing. But wonder what this Nokia/Nokian thing have in common. Must be some Finnish inside joke.

If my memory is correct

Nokia is a river in Finland

And the Tire company was originally Nokia Tires

But then someone invented the cell phone and there is a company that used the name.

The tire company got tired (did you see what I did there?) of people confusing them so they change their name.

Here is what I have on my S80

Take care

Paul

Note: these are high performance A/S not snow tires. But I grew up somewhere that had miserable winters so I know the brand and I am very happy with my purchase.

You forgot to include the rimshot to go with the pun.

Yeah, I drove on Nokia Hakka 10s many decades ago when the name was still Nokia. An excellent winter tire and model but the availability and the local premium prices put them out of my cost/benefit analysis eventually back then and I currently found more cost effectives alternatives on special. I currently run Hankook i-pike RW11s and they are very decent. The Hakka 10s were awesome though!

Oh yeah... DAT's how I like my wheels! Northwest Wheel Repair gets it done, powder coated matte black, Nokian studded tires installed! Now just need to paint the center caps and install the roof cargo rack and we are good to go... until the next thing comes up...

$200 per wheel. And why would I pay $20 for fancy caps when I can sand, prime and paint the ones I already have?
