I hope everyone is doing well. I am located in Houston, TX, zip 77070.

I am seriously considering purchasing an USED LR2 Land Rover from an Auto Nation dealer here in the area. The details are:

Year: 2012
Mileage: 16.545

Carfax 1 owner

***There are ~34,000 miles or 36 months remaining on the manufacturer's warranty***

In good condition, no visible dents, damage, etc. Has passed an Auto Nation 125 point inspection (It is being sold an Auto Nation owned dealership)

It has all the features that come standard with the car as well as a HSE package. It is a black on black trim/interior.

Asking price at the dealership is $30,991 plus TTL.

Any idea if this is worth pursuing?

No. But that is my opinion and there will be many more on this site. Exchange ideas with guys on this site that work on them for a living. If you do this route, beat the dealership up for free extended warranty to 100K, etc. Shop around, drive others.

Thank you for you reply, I sincerely appreciate it! I think we will likely steer away from this deal...however...just to be informed, does anyone have very general estimates of how much maintenance would cost on such a vehicle, i.e. maintenance under warranty and maintenance post warranty - assuming normal wear and tear of the car.

If it is hard to give dollar values, is it possible to estimate how much greater the maintenance would be, e.g. 1.5x, 2x, on such a vehicle compared to an American or Japanese car in a similar price point?
