Steering wheel noise

Default Steering wheel noise

—— 2012 land rover lr2 hse / 146 k / 3.2 engine ——

Hi fellas

i got a new problem about my power steering ,

couple days ago my power steering made noise

what i did ;

pressure test

check hoses

change power steering pump with new one

change fluid with chf 202 fluid

and still same noise ..

then i thought that pump has defective changed again with new one

but still same issue same noise

i did not change Steering Gear/Rack Power Rack And Pinion

I dont know what other options for this issue . For now i ordered power steering fluid reservoir it s going to come couple days later

should i change Rack and Pinion do you have any idea or advice for me

Might be the PS reservoir... that contains a built-in filter so the reservoir should be replaced periodically. I do it when I change the fluid every 40k/five years. If the filter is clogged, it might cause pump cavitation.

Thanks for advice i m gonna change reservoir let s see what s gonna happen it not works i m gonna change rack and pinion

Probably should bleed it thoroughly to make sure all of the bubbles are out too.

Replace res and refill first.

Then with the front wheels jacked up start by turning the steering wheel back and forth stop-to-stop multiple times with the engine off. Then repeat with engine on. You can also do it with wheels on the ground, just going to need arm strength with the engine off.

Thanks for your answer i solve the problem today ,

I changed this hose it s called

08-12 Land Rover LR2 Power Steering Pump To Reservoir Hose 7G923691EE

it has a very very tiny hole and i fixed but very very hard to find because i wasn’t found pressure test

Cool. I'd change the reservoir anyway. When (not if) the filter clogs it will probably take out the PS pump. Ask me how I know.
