Default Steering

Hi all just joined you, I have a disco 2 on A Y REG when driving on motorway duel carridgeway etc there is a humming/wering noise coming from the front of the car mainly when the steering is turned even very slightly, i was told it would be the wheel bearing (left) as it makes more noise as i turn steering to the right i have changed this but the problem still there, i have also been told it could be diff oil low or none in it, any help would be appreciated Garry

There's not a whole lot to go on there, But a good place to start looking would be the steering box or power steering pump if it's happening while turning.

Maybe try flushing out the old power steering fluid with some fresh stuff.

Download the RAVE manual if you havn't already and follow the steps for changing the Power Steering fluid. Don't forget to bleed it also.

Look at disco Mike's major service and get started asap... you have some major concerns if you are operating a vehicle and are not sure whether there is fluid in the diffs or not. I would suggest that you start by changing all of your fluids and take a look to see if front prop shaft is original or updated.
