Default Stranded in SD need help!

Hi there,
I am new to this forum, I own a 2008 Land Rover Lr2 Hse 3.2 liter. I am currently in route to Indianapolis to help with my father's alzheimers & dementia. My current city is Sturgis SD, where I am experiencing some mechanical issues with my rover. when I come up on a hill and accelerate my engine light begins flashing and there is a decline in power. Not sure what the problem may be. I am a single female traveling alone, in need of assist from anyone mechanically inclined & possibly near the area. I am coming from West coast where all the fires and smoke was very heavy. Is it possible the smoke has done some damage to air intake or similar? Please help.
Grateful for any assist
Forrest Hawk

You need to have a mechanic read the fault codes from the car. That is the most likely way to find out what is wrong with it.

Any nearby AutoZone or PepBoys or Oreilly’s auto parts shop? Maybe they will plug in a code reader and tell you what the codes are.

After you get it sorted out, sell it and get a a Toyota or Honda.

Godspeed

There is a Land Rover repair shop 27 min south of Sturgis in Rapid City. You may want to consider asking them if they can come tow your car to their shop, or hiring a tow truck to do the same. Call them first to see if they have the availability to check your car.

Have the codes read, as these guys said.

Good chance it's the fuel-pressure regulator, which is relatively cheap and easy to replace (by rover standards). DTC code for that is P0087.
