Strange shifting in transmission
I have recently been experiencing strange shifting in my transmission. It seems to sometimes be a little slow shifting from 1st to second or second to third. It seems to happen most when slowing down, and then accelerating. Sometimes when I slow down to take a corner and then begin accelerating out of it, it will lag, and almost feel as though it downshifts, I lose power for a second and then it drops into the correct gear and I accelerate like normal.
It is almost like the car is confused for a second of which gear to go into. I just started happening about a month ago. It is happening intermittently, but it does seem to be getting more frequent. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It is 2009 LR2 and just passed 100,000.

Ours does something like that too. I did get the tranny fluid serviced at about 100K. I heard it may be a design issue, vaguely annoying since it shifted very smoothly when newer but hasn't really gotten any worse over time. I'm not doing a major overhaul to fix it, but if there's an adjustment or service that would help I'd be interested too.

It did improve the shift performance a bit, but I don't think it's quite like new.
Update, bad motor mounts can also cause rough shifts, had the bottom R. one replaced by the shop but also needed to replace the upper torque mount... that gets torn when the bottom mount is bad. That gave me a noticeable improvement in shifting.
Torque mount can inspected with the hood open (it's on the pax side, look for torn rubber), it's cheap online and very easy to replace. But if it's torn, you need to check the other mounts first... if you replace the torque mount it will just tear again if the other mount(s) are bad.
