Default Transmission fluid fill plug access

Recently I tried to check my transmission fluid level and ended up draining out about a quart before getting the plug back on. However, now I’m having trouble reaching the fill plug. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? If I remove my battery is there anything I have to reset or can I just reinstall the battery afterward and be good to go?

It wasn’t that easy. The AC compressor is directly above the plug. There’s actually another plug on the side of the transmission above the left axle. Because of the angle, it took awhile to fill but it was easier than removing the air filter box and the AC compressor. Even then the plug on the top is partially under a mount.

Take a look at this PDF

Can you identify which port you used?
