05 LR3 HSE 4.4L HDC Fault, Hazards flashing, Won't Start
I have an 07 RRS HTE...I just bought it last weekend from a used car lot and I'm experiencing the hazards of death! The locks engaging and engaging, warnings such as hdc system fail, I've replaced the battery, terminals, but it sounds very much like this is my problem.
my radio says system fault then shuts off ac, radio, and nav station but continues to drive. when i go to restart engine flasher flash and will not start(no sounds of starter engaging)
not sure what the issue is but if i slap the dash above the control panel it starts 100% of time. if im driving and the system fault shuts down the radio/ac/nav and i slap the dash it turn on then off again. im suspecting a loose connection somewhere in the instrument cluster.
its a 2006 lr3 hse with approx 135K miles. anyone have this issue? or does anyone have an idea a what connects to what that might fix this issue
so im looking at the wiring diagram and at "sj117" there are L and K wires connected each running the nav and radio. from here there are multiple other connectors for the windows and cigar lighter that all seem to work. would anyone know if i am on the right track....where sj117 would be?

did you slap the dash. im finding this works. no faults on the instrument panel, just a system fault on the radio before center console/infotainment goes blank along with ac. iv looked at the wiring diagram and found a "sj117" that seems to connect the center console to the instrument cluster to the windows. the windows work so im not looking further down the road than this connection.
