Maybe your larger tires made it seem like bumpstops.

this is on the now basically stock 07. I did a lower steering shaft and apparently I put it just at the edge of the steering angle sensor Calibration. So it would fault out dump the air and light up like the 4th of July.

The truck with big tires is on coils lol

a bit off topic: on the older air tanks (circa 2005-about 2007) there is a 'bung' that could remove and install a presta valve fill port.

I carry extra sensors, rods and a wiring overlay.

FYI Early SYA Kits with the black piece of air line = will fail.

The softer line will expand in warm climates, and eventually BLOW OUT... 2 days before leaving for the HCRR Event my RF blew out while I was in town. I was able to drive it home and do the repair using a piece of hard line from a P38. I contacted Lucky8 about the black piece of line blowing out. Erik told me they had issues with earlier SYA kits and they now have a HD version of that line. He mailed the replacement line out ASAP, and I actually got it before we left for the event. I tossed it into the trail bag and we headed out for the event. On Saturday I was tail gunner on a trail run and head a BOOM up ahead of me. I came down into a creek bed to see my RRS on the bumpstops. The LF line had blown out. I had all the tools so the repair was under 30min.

If you are still rocking the earlier black soft air line with the SYA kit I'd email Erik at Lucky8 and get the HD line sent to you.
