2-clicks to lock driver door?
I just purchased a LR3 SE with 107K on it. When I hit the lock button on the remote, the front door won't lock the first click, but will lock if I press it a second time.
The alarm is activated with the first click. If I open the door the alarm sounds/car starts honking. It is not until the second click that it actually locks?
Second problem is the drivers seat. It does not heat up when I press the button - 1 or two lights. I saw other threads on this and checked engine compartment fuses. Will check the others, then beneath console and finally replace element in the seat if necessary.

Thanks...I think we are missing each other on the issue here. The problem is when I hit the lock button on the FOB, all doors lock except the driver side unless I hit it again.
The doors are all closed until I open the driver side with the exterior handle, then the alarm/horn sounds. It should be locked, not open.

Yeah. I understand. The reason I'm asking those questions and offering that response is that it took me a while to figure out that if there is a door or hood or rear hatch not fully secured and you hit the lock button, the horn will sound. The doors will lock I believe...not sure though.
So, it's possible that there is a sensor issue with the door that isn't locking; in this case the driver's side door.
...can't say for sure obviously; just trying to help you dig.

Something to try may be the single point entry program on the key fob.
If single point entry is active pressing 'unlock' will open the driver's door and pressing 'unlock' a second time unlocks the rest. Perhaps it works the other way as well, where locking the driver's door requires two presses. Refer to page 45 of your owner's handbook, or try this:
Press and hold the 'lock' and 'unlock' buttons at the SAME time for three seconds. This will change the entry method from multi- point to single point or vice versa. I would try it myself to let you know if it works but it is currently -20*C (-4*F) up here in middle of nowhere Canada! haha

Thanks Spiderman, I did try that - but the issue remains. May be it is only turning partway into latch on first tug or push of motor, and then engages on second click? IOW, latch issue I will need to tear door apart to remedy.
