Hi guys, I’ve got a new latch for my center console LRthree down to the point where it’s sitting on the bench. I’m trying to remove the old latch. Any help appreciate it before I break it.
looks like there’s a spring and the tabs on each end on nonmovable how do we release the old latch from the cover? That’s the question thank you.

 

Small removable tabs of the spring retainer must be released. Then the entire spring and retainer can be removed and installed in the new lid. Sneaky little tabs
