Default 2005 LR3 headlight Problems 🤬

Changed headlights (as I have done MANY times before ) however they turn off on their own after putting vehicle into drive or reverse. This happens either immediately or after about 10 seconds after starting to drove. They are set on auto. Battery was recently changed as well however everything else working fine. Any suggestions ? Thanks - first time on this forum 👍

when you say headlights, do you mean globe/bulbs. If so, they may be wrong type.

Yes bulbs ..... however same bulbs as have always been used and I have done this procedure many times before. Somehow putting vehicle into drive/reverse is affecting the headlights

Sounds like a loose connection and the jerking/movement is connecting/disconnecting them. I can't really see how swapping lamps would be any sort of issue.

Ok thanks ..... I’m going to re-do everything and try again .... they housing clip was acting up a bit so perhaps it was wiggling a bit

Worked for 5 minutes in drive and then both out a exactly the same time ..... so doesn’t sound like connection or fyse or wrong bulbs 🤬

Are they standard bulbs or extra upmarket wattage bulbs as the system maybe drawing too much current so disables itself

X2, these machines are very finicky and if you notice the size of the wires, I'm sort of surprised they can even handle the H7...
